The salary on offer is £55,000 per annum but will rise to £60,000 after completion of a six‑month probation period. The Clinical Governance Lead will provide strategic leadership and oversight of clinical governance within the nursing home. They will ensure that care delivery is safe, effective, person‑centred, and compliant with regulatory standards. The role is pivotal in embedding a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence in resident care.

Clinical Governance & Compliance
  • Develop, implement, and monitor the home's clinical governance framework.
  • Ensure compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards and other statutory regulations.
  • Lead internal audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate governance records and produce reports for senior management.
Quality & Safety
  • Oversee incident reporting, investigations, and root cause analysis.
  • Monitor infection prevention and control measures.
  • Ensure safeguarding policies are embedded and adhered to.
  • Drive continuous improvement in clinical practice and resident outcomes.
Risk Management
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate clinical risks across the home.
  • Maintain and update risk registers with clear action plans.
  • Provide assurance to management through regular governance reviews.
Leadership & Staff Development
  • Mentor and support nursing and care staff in best practice.
  • Deliver training on clinical governance, compliance, and quality improvement.
  • Promote a culture of openness, accountability, and learning.

Salary: £55,000 – £56,000 per annum.
