Clerk to the Board of Trustees - Volunteer
Litdrive is looking for a proactive and highly organised volunteer Clerk to support our Board of Trustees. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys governance, accuracy, and helping a small but ambitious education charity run smoothly.

What are we looking for?
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage documents, deadlines, and meeting schedules
- Excellent written communication, especially for taking clear, accurate minutes
- Good interpersonal skills, with the confidence to liaise professionally with trustees and staff
- Attention to detail and comfort handling confidential information
- Reliability and a proactive approach to preparing for meetings and following up actions
- An interest in supporting a charity and a desire to contribute to Litdrive’s mission to help English teachers
- Basic understanding of governance or willingness to learn (full support will be provided)
What will you be doing?
- Coordinate board meetings (typically 4 per year)
- Prepare and share agendas and papers in collaboration with the Chair
- Attend meetings and take accurate minutes
- Support the Board with governance processes, filing and record-keeping
- Ensure key actions are tracked
- Advise on compliance and good governance practices (desirable, not essential)
