Job Description

Job Title: CleaningOperative

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 07:00 –11:00 (20 hours per week)

Pay: £12.60 per hour

Location: Port Solent, The Boardwalk,Portsmouth, PO6 4TP

Reporting to: Dual Services Manager

Overview

We are looking for a reliable and hands‑on Cleaning Operativeto join our dedicated team at Port Solent Marina. This is a varied, practicalrole in a busy environment, supporting the smooth running and cleanliness of apopular shopping and leisure destination.

Day‑to‑day, you will be responsible for civilians tasksincluding Cleaning of the Centre Management office, Cleaning inside ourσκευή The Trading Post, operating specialist equipment (such as a T300), and ensuring internal areas are clean, safe and presentable. Full training will beprovided. Key Responsibilities
  • Cleanand maintain designated areas in line with the site’s cleaningspecifications.
  • Maintainthe cleanliness and presentation of public areas, ensuring the siteremains tidy, safe, and welcoming for all visitors.
  • Maintainthe cleanliness of the centre management office, ensuring workspace istidy, dust free and Toilet stock replenished daily
  • Respondpromptly to spills or hazards to maintain a safe environment for visitors,tenants and staff.
  • Operatesite-specific machinery and equipment, including our T300 scrubber dryer
  • Carryout basic cleaning and maintenance duties as required.
  • Providefriendly, helpful service to customers, tenants and visitors on site.
  • Complywith all Health & Safety and COSHH regulations at all times.
  • Supportthe wider site team when needed, maintaining a strong team ethic andpositive attitude.
Requirements
  • Apractical, dependable individual with a good eye for detail
  • Willingnessto learn and operate cleaning and waste-handling machinery (trainingprovided)
  • Goodcommunication skills and a proactive approach to customer קינservice
  • Flexibleand able to work additional shifts when required
  • Previousexperience in seeking, facilities support isbeneficial but not essential
  • A friendly, supportive working environment at avibrants waterside location
  • Allnecessary training, including use of specialist equipment and Health &Safety procedures
