Job description

Here at GXO Logistics, we are looking for full-time, permanent Class 1 drivers to work either days or night shifts to join our delivery team in Hoddesdon for our customer, Sainsburys.

You will be contracted to work 48 hoursper week, with the start time window of 04:00 for the day shift and 18:00 for the night shift, working any 5 over 7 days.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Responsible for the accurate, timely movement and delivery of our customers’ products and collect from suppliers across the Southeast of England, Warwickshire and London, in a timely and professional manner
• Providing excellent face to face customer service to customer
• Conduct regular vehicle inspections and ensure trailer temperatures are correctly set
• Promptly report incidents, delays, vehicle defects and health & safety concerns or near misses
• Attend relevant training and support ongoing improvement initiatives

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• A full UK driving licence with category class 1 entitlement
• A valid HIAB/ALLMI licence is advantageous
• A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)
• Be in possession of a valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 current penalty points
• Successful applicant will be subject to a DBS check
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years
