Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of IDDSI and care-home dietary requirements is an advantage.

Base pay range

Salary: £14.25 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week full time, includes alternate weekends

Responsibilities
  • Help deliver high-quality, nutritious meals that support the health and wellbeing of residents.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef or Senior Chef to ensure all meals are prepared to high standards and meet dietary requirements.
  • Prepare, cook and present appetising, balanced and varied nutritious foods in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Ensure the kitchen is kept clean, hygienic and safe at all times.
  • Supervise and mentor junior chefs and kitchen assistants to be efficient within their roles.
  • Support the Head Chef and Senior Chef in producing menus that are accessible to all residents, reflect seasonal changes and offer choice options; prior care‑home experience and knowledge of IDDSI is an advantage.
