• Previous care experience is not essential.

• Delivering excellent person centred care.
• Supporting & encouraging residents to remain independent.
• Checking on residents regularly and assisting with mobility if needed.
• Providing personal care including washing and dressing.
• Building relationships and providing companionship.

Care & Support Assistant

Location: Fairlawn Residential Home, St Mary’s Road, Ferndown, BH22 9HB

Pay rate: £12.50-£12.75 per hour

Hours: Full & part time, to include alternate weekends

Responsibilities

• Delivering excellent person centred care.
• Supporting & encouraging residents to remain as independent as possible.
• Checking on residents regularly; moving and positioning if required.
• Providing elements of personal care including washing and undressing where needed.
• Building relationships and providing companionship; getting to know residents.
• Working in a team to create a cooperative, friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the home.
