Tea is brewing. Café doors are opening. The day is about to start, and so are our café team members. They’re the talented people making every day a little better for our customers.

Role overview
The Café Team Member is part of the daily café operations, combining customer service, basic food preparation, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. You’ll help ensure our menu items meet safety standards and are prepared and served to the expected quality. You’ll also help keep equipment and tables tidy.

Responsibilities

• Keep kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serve customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations and keep daily records.
• Practice first in, first out (FIFO) stock rotation to keep food fresh.
• Accept deliveries and store food safely.
• Follow all operational policies and procedures.
• Prepare, cook, and serve food according to the café menu.
• Maintain product availability and uphold café standards.
• Know the café menu and serve items as intended.
• Resolve customer complaints and escalate as needed to the Café Manager.
• Stay up-to-date with business communications and new initiatives.
• Clear and sanitise tables to keep the café clean.
