Overview

Our Business Development Managers are responsible for driving business growth for Leyton UK. They prospect for, engage & convert new business clients for Leyton UK to consult upon their Tax Incentive & Innovation Tax claims with HMRC.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and targeted outreach to potential clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, including CFOs, tax directors, and other decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including tax professionals, engineers, and project managers, to ensure that client needs are met and services are delivered in a timely and effective manner.
  • Manage the sales pipeline, tracking leads and opportunities and ensuring that all sales activities are documented and tracked in the company's CRM system.
  • Lead client presentations and proposals, communicating the value proposition of the company's services and addressing client needs and concerns.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to network with potential clients and stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments.
  • Monitor competitive activity and market trends, providing feedback to the company's leadership team to inform business strategy and sales tactics.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute effective sales and marketing campaigns that generate leads and drive revenue growth.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets, reporting regularly on progress and forecasting future sales activity.
Qualifications
  • Sales Skills: A Business Development Manager should have a strong track record of success in sales and business development, with experience in lead generation, prospecting, negotiation, and closing deals.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills are essential for a Business Development Manager, including the ability to communicate complex concepts and value propositions in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically about the company's goals and objectives, and develop and execute a sales plan that aligns with those goals. Includes the ability to analyse market trends and competitive activity, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Relationship Building: Building strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders to establish trust and credibility, and to communicate effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds and levels of seniority.
  • Relevant Experience: Previous experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably in the R&D tax consulting industry or a related field.
