Are you a strategic relationship builder with the commercial acumen to unlock growth in key accounts?

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to take full ownership of a portfolio of high value Corporate clients, managing every stage of the customer journey from solution design through to delivery and ongoing development. This role sits within our Client Development team and is central to our success in growing volume, enhancing profitability, and delivering an exceptional service experience. You’ll be the go-to partner for some of our most important clients, and you'll need to bring both a consultative approach and operational understanding to build long‑term, value‑driven relationships.

  • Manage and retain a portfolio of high‑profile Corporate clients, taking full responsibility for client success - from onboarding through to implementation, growth, and ongoing support
  • Lead quarterly business reviews, performance reviews and budgeting conversations with senior stakeholders
  • Identify and win volume through Share of Wallet growth, pricing improvements and contract renewals
  • Maintain healthy cash‑flow and support profitability through commercial levers
  • Collaborate closely with Operational Management and internal stakeholders to enhance service and performance
  • Recommend and drive initiatives to improve service levels, streamline operations, and support recovery programmes when needed
  • Use data and insight to guide decision‑making, identify risks and unlock new opportunities
  • Work alongside our wider Business Development, SLT and Performance teams to contribute to group‑wide projects

  • Full UK Driving Licence (travel is a key part of this role, including occasional overseas travel and flexible hours)
  • Degree or formal qualification in Account Management/Sales is advantageous but not essential
  • Proven background in key account management, customer success or business development
  • Experience in eCommerce, logistics, parcel delivery or technology‑led services
  • Strong commercial awareness with a background in P&L, pricing, budgeting and contract management
  • Experience with international eCommerce, imports/exports and customs processes (desirable)
  • Confident producing and delivering high‑quality, data‑led presentations and proposals
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong relationship building and stakeholder engagement skills (up to C‑suite level)
  • Confident negotiator with the ability to challenge clients constructively
