Business Administrator ApprenticeNorthumberland Wildlife Trust

Northumberland Wildlife Trust has been saving wildlife and wild places and helping people to get closer to nature since 1971. The Trust provides a range of educational events and activities for adults, families and schools at visitor centres and nature reserves, and looks after over 60 reserves in Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland. Volunteers support conservation through tree planting, surveys, fundraising and education.

Possibility of full‑time employment.

You will be working within an office environment to:

  • Support the team to achieve operational requirements.
  • Answer and redirect telephone calls and messages via the main switchboard.
  • Answer and redirect emails to relevant departments from the main email address.
  • Prepare administrative documents and files arising from work in Health & Safety, volunteering and facilities.
  • Assist with supply ordering (stationery/refreshments) and create purchase orders.
  • Help with staff and volunteer uniform ordering.
  • Deal with the postal systems and franking mail.
  • Greet visitors and sign them in.
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the team leader.
  • Use Business Administrator Level 3 skills.
  • Work in a workplace setting.

Monday to Friday, 9.00 am – 4.30 pm, with a half‑hour lunch break each day.
