Department Overview

Corporate Communications aims to protect and build Nomura’s brand and reputation. It is the central function that coordinates all internal and external communications activities for the company, comprised of Media Relations, Internal Communications, Branding & Marketing, and Social Impact.

Role description

Nomura is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to develop and implement marketing campaigns across earned, owned and paid channels including websites, social media and digital advertising, as well as working closely with the design team to produce branded assets for internal and external initiatives. The role will involve working with senior internal stakeholders across Group and Wholesale divisions, Legal and Compliance teams, and global Corporate Communications colleagues.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Manage Nomura’s social media channels, coordinating with other regional branding and marketing colleagues where appropriate.
  • Execute the content updates on Nomura’s thought leadership website, Nomura Connects.
  • Support the promotion of Nomura’s Week Ahead podcast series across owned and third-party channels.
  • Manage EMEA digital advertising campaigns, working closely with Front Office stakeholders and Nomura’s external media agency.
  • As a brand guardian, continuously ensure both internal and external stakeholders adhere to brand usage guidelines and channels are used in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policy.
  • Support Group-wide corporate marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Group’s Cyber Security Teams to manage brand and reputational risk across external marketing channels, escalating where appropriate.
  • Own vendor and agency relationships and processes.
  • Report on marketing activity and analyse the results of marketing campaigns and brand sentiment.
Skills, experience, qualifications, and knowledge required
  • Experience of working in financial services is essential
  • Extensive experience working in a marketing role
  • Ability to create great content: must demonstrate the ability to write to a good standard
  • Strong communication skills: effectively communicate the company’s brand message to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Marketing expertise: a strong understanding of marketing principles, including market research, distribution, segmentation, and targeting.
  • Creative thinking: think creatively and develop innovative marketing ideas that resonate with the target audience.
  • Analytical skills: analyse data and translate marketing metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
  • Project management skills: manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Marketing technology: strong working knowledge of Hootsuite, Hootsuite Amplify, LinkedIn and Salesforce CRM, Google Analytics, Pardot and Optimizely
  • University degree, preferably with a marketing qualification
