A public sector organization in Greater London is seeking a Bereavement Services Manager to oversee operations at the City of London Cemetery & Crematorium. The City of London Environment Department protects, funds and manages over 10,700 acres of historic and natural open space primarily for public recreation and health for the City of London Corporation which includes the ownership and management of the City of London Cemetery & Crematorium in Manor Park E12. As a Green Flag and Green Heritage site we pride ourselves in maintaining this 200-acre site to an exceptionally high standard.
We currently have a vacancy for aBereavement Services Managerat the City of London Cemetery & Crematorium. The successful candidate willbe requiredto work a 35-hour week, Monday toFridayfrom 8.30am until 4.30pm.
You will beleadinga team ofsevenbereavementservicesofficers and threeassistantofficersandwill beoverseeing theday-to-dayoperation of the cemetery’s administrativefunctions.
You willberequiredtodealwithandmaintaingood relationships withboth members of the public visiting the siteandthe bereavedwhichrequires a caring and sensitive approachwhen responding to public enquiries and complaints.
You will also form part of the cemetery’s leadership teamand take an active role in continually improving the service that we provide to the bereaved.
You shouldhaveexperience of leading a team,have excellent communication skills and be committed to delivering first class customer service.Teamworkingand interpersonal skills are essential requirements for this post, as is agoodunderstanding of I.T. systemsandawillingness to learn.An understand of the funerary industry would beadvantageous.
Candidates must hold a full UK, manualdriving licence.
