Job Overview

Provide individual behavioral treatment modalities when working with children under the age of 21 in the home, school and community to implement the child's Intensive Treatment Plan (ITP).

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one behavioral interventions to support implementation of an Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) including but limited to:
  • Provide support to parents, teachers, and community individuals
  • Deliver and model treatment interventions
  • Provide positive reinforcement to the clients and families
  • Communicate with colleagues and treatment team and exchange information which is important in achieving the individual goals for the clients
  • Maintain professional boundaries with all clients and families
  • Provide culturally aware and competent services
  • Participate in individual and group supervision monthly
  • Complete necessary documentation on a weekly basis per IBHS regulations
Training Requirements
  • Complete Training Curriculum According To Requirements And Regulatory Standards
  • If the individual has not previously provided BHT services, the individual shall complete at least 30 hours of Department-approved training prior to providing services independently.
  • If an individual has not previously provided BHT services, the individual shall complete at least 24 hours of Department-approved training within the first 6 months of providing BHT services.
  • An individual who provides BHT services shall complete at least 20 hours of Department-approved training annually that is related to the individual's specific job functions and is in accordance with the individual training plan.
