This role would suit someone who is comfortable picking things up quickly and supporting day-to-day finance activities during a busy period. The position is paying the equivalent of £28,000 - £32,000, with some flexibility around working arrangements!

Responsibilities
  • Supporting month-end and general finance reporting
  • Maintaining accurate records and assisting with reconciliations
  • Managing purchase and sales ledger activity
  • Completing bank reconciliations and supporting VAT processes
  • Liaising with payroll providers and wider internal teams
  • General finance support as required
Qualifications
  • Have previous experience in a Finance Assistant or similar role
  • Are confident using accounting systems and Excel
  • Are organised, detail-focused, and proactive
  • Can work independently and as part of a team

We would be keen to speak with individuals who are currently in a Finance Assistant, Finance Administrator, Accounts Assistant, Accounts Officer, or similar role. You will need to be a team player who is confident speaking on the phone, with an excellent telephone manner.

The role is easily accessible from York and surrounding areas, including Leeds, Harrogate, Selby and Tadcaster, with good public transport links.
