Purpose of the role

You’ll be the go-to person for keeping things running like clockwork in our Finished Goods area (and sometimes other areas when needed). Your mission? Support the Shift Leader by bringing visible, hands‑on leadership to the factory floor, making sure the daily production plan is delivered smoothly, efficiently, and cost‑effectively.

It’s all about teamwork, clear communication, and smart decision‑making—while never compromising on safety, quality, or technical standards. If you love being at the heart of the action and making things happen, this is the role for you!

What you’ll be doing

Safety First – Because People Matter

  • Safety isn’t just a rule—it’s our culture. You’ll make sure everyone works smart and stays safe.
  • Spot issues before they become problems and keep risk assessments up to date.
  • Be the calm in the storm during evacuations and help prevent accidents by promoting near‑miss reporting.

Operations – Keep Things Moving

  • Plan your team like a pro so targets are smashed without stress.
  • Keep the flow going—no bottlenecks, no downtime.
  • Use data to find smarter ways of working and hit those KPIs.

Team Leadership – Be the Coach Everyone Wants

  • Motivate, mentor, and grow your team with regular check‑ins and live coaching.
  • Handle the admin stuff (attendance, interviews, investigations) with confidence.
  • Help recruit awesome people and make onboarding a great experience.

Standards – Stay Sharp

  • Keep everything audit‑ready and compliant.
  • Make sure products are top quality and equipment is used safely.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience leading and motivating a team.
  • Great communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt and think on your feet.
  • Food industry experience is a bonus (warehouse experience too), but we’ll train you!
  • Qualifications like Food Safety, HACCP, IOSH? Even better!
