CHA Information Technology is a progressive, innovative, fast-paced and dynamic department supporting a vibrant health system that serves everyone in need. The Applications Analyst III works to implement, maintain, support, and maximize the use of clinical, financial, and administrative portions of the software applications leveraged by Cambridge Health Alliance in conducting daily operations under the direction of the Manager/Director/Sr. Director of Applications. Clinical applications are under the oversight of the CMIO.
The Applications Analyst III is responsible for maintaining and optimizing existing system applications, including Epic. This involves coordinating with users and vendors to test system application updates and ensure they function correctly before live deployment, as well as integrating new applications into the health information system according to schedule.
This role serves as a liaison between users and software vendors, guiding modifications to system applications to improve performance. The analyst also facilitates end-users' understanding and maximization of software use for daily operations, collaborating with I.T. Education staff to develop specialized training and educate users on system optimization.
Key responsibilities include responding to user questions promptly, referring them to the appropriate department or person when necessary. The Applications Analyst III also coordinates with Business Analysts to provide expertise in developing reporting tools and manages IT projects in collaboration with Operational and Clinical subject matter experts.
