A local education institution in Mexborough is looking for a skilled ADT Technician to support practical lessons and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Applicants should have good interpersonal skills and a creative flair, along with at least 3 GCSEs including English and Maths. The role involves working 25 hours per week during term time and may require flexibility to work at other academies within the trust. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is essential.
An opportunity has arisen for a talented and skilled ADT Technician, who will work as part of the Art, Design and Technology Faculty to support the learning and teaching of students by ensuring practical lessons are well resourced and compliant with current Health and Safety legislation.
Under the direction of the Head of Faculty, to contribute to the provision of an efficient and effective technical service to the ADT Faculty, supporting staff and students of all abilities, across all Key Stages, in the classroom. To maintain good working relationships with teaching and non-teaching staff and to liaise with other departments / staff in matters related to the technician service.
The successful candidate will:
Working 25 hours per week term time only. (Term time includes working 2 out of 5 INSET days each academic year as directed, with availability to work any or all of the remaining 3 INSET days at short notice should the need arise).
The role is based at Swinton Academy but may, on occasion, involve working at other academies within the trust.

Successful candidates will be subject to a DBS check at the appropriate level. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a self-declaration related to their criminal record or any information that would make them unsuitable to work with children. Additional checks in relation to the Childcare Disqualification Regulations will be undertaken for successful candidates to junior academies. If you have lived or worked outside of the UK, additional information may be required from you to satisfy safer recruitment checks.
