About the role
We are currently engaged in a major defence project to design and manufacture bespoke Process Plant & Equipment (PP&E) within our client’s manufacturing cells at a new production facility. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a project that is critical to national security and innovation.
Main Responsibilities
- The Planner will develop, cost‑/resource‑load and maintain the detailed project plan in Primavera P6, ensuring plan logic and resource balance are accurate.
- Provide regular progress/plan reports and keep the plan updated to reflect actual values and forecasts.
- Liaise closely with the Senior Project Manager, Senior Engineering Manager and the project delivery team to obtain status updates and progress narratives for the Primavera P6 schedule.
- Work collaboratively with counterparts both within the client organisation and other partners involved in the project.
The Person
- Minimum 3–5 years in project planning/scheduling using Primavera P6
- Extensive experience and expertise with Oracle Primavera P6
- Experience developing & maintaining cost and resource loaded plans across long‑term (12 months+) design & manufacturing/construction projects
- Prior experience in nuclear, defence, or other highly regulated environments is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with delivery of projects under the NEC suite of contracts
- Experience liaising with client planning functions for joint reporting
- Competent in the use of the MS Office Suite of applications
- Use of CEMAR for NEC contract management
