A successful and growing business based in Kirkbymoorside is currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a permanent, full-time basis! Responsibilities
  • Supporting month-end processes, including preparing reconciliations and supporting schedules
  • Processing purchase and sales ledger transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring ledgers are kept up to date
  • Completing bank and balance sheet reconciliations, investigating discrepancies where required
  • Producing routine and ad-hoc financial reports to support the wider finance team
  • Assisting with VAT returns, audit preparation, and compliance-related tasks
  • Responding to internal finance queries and providing general support across the business
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, or similar transactional finance role
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive and organised approach to your work
  • Good working knowledge of accounting processes, including reconciliations and ledger work
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • A willingness to learn new systems and processes (experience with Oracle would be advantageous but is not essential)
