Job summary

Qualifications

  • Previous Accounts Receivable experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages.
  • Knowledge of SAGE and SAP systems would be beneficial.

Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Team Leader, the successful candidate will assist with all aspects of Sales Ledger, Credit Control & Cashbook.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Assisting with credit control including contacting customers, reviewing credit limits, maintaining new customer forms, reviewing aged debtor list, liaising with overseas customer service staff for overdue invoices, producing monthly statements, updating hold lists.
  • Setting up new customer accounts and allocate credit limits.
  • Updating sales ledger accounts with correct details.
  • Resolving disputed invoices in a timely manner.
  • Posting cashbook transactions.
  • Depositing cheques weekly, taking responsibility for encouraging customer to pay by BACS.
  • Answering telephone, redirecting calls.
  • Assisting visitors to the business.
About you:
  • Previous Accounts Receivable experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages.
  • Knowledge of SAGE and SAP systems would be beneficial however training will be provided.
  • Relevant qualification desirable but not essential.
