Role Description

Account Manager, LoopNet, Birmingham. You will be responsible for selling subscriptions and other online advertising products. Your client base will range from small independent agents to large global property owners and fund managers, global brokerage businesses, hedge funds, private equity firms, real estate investment trusts and family offices. You will focus predominantly on new business, while also growing revenue from existing accounts. You will be given a territory with responsibility for account management of a limited number of existing clients from day one.

Responsibilities
  • Manage, nurture and grow your existing client base with integrity.
  • Take an entrepreneurial approach to selling, training and retaining clients.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of client needs through a consultative sales approach.
  • Become an expert in LoopNet’s marketing solutions, the leading online commercial property marketplace in the UK.
  • Own the full sales cycle including prospecting, demonstrating, closing, onboarding, training and renewing accounts.
  • Conduct high-quality in-person client and prospect product demonstrations.
  • Provide valuable insights to participants in the commercial property market (surveyors, owners, investors, lenders, local authorities, service providers).
  • Represent CoStar Group by hosting and attending industry events and networking with property professionals in your market.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain and grow clients over the medium and long term, with sales cycles that can run 3–12 months+
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and objection-handling skills with confidence and patience for complex proposals
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work to metrics
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Consultative selling style with account management techniques to grow accounts over time; enjoy building relationships and helping clients solve problems
  • Knowledge of commercial real estate or asset management is advantageous; a genuine interest in market trends is valued
  • Property portal or marketplace experience is advantageous
  • Ability to navigate a large organization to identify decision-makers, influencers and blockers
  • Full driving licence
  • Ability to travel to the United States for 3 weeks of training
  • Current and valid driver’s license; satisfactory completion of a Driving Record/Driving Abstract check prior to start
