Overview

Make a Real Impact as an A Level Computer Science Tutor. We are looking for experienced and dedicated tutors to provide personalised, 1:1 or small group support in Computer Science for A Level students. These in-person sessions in Kensington offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver tuition programmes in small groups or 1:1
• Provide tuition that is appropriate for the individuals/groups needs and study level
• Assess barriers to student learning and work to overcome these
• Monitor student progress and produce reports
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks for your subject tuition
• Regularly report updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant subject
• 3+ years of tutoring / teaching experience
• Experience working with students with EAL is preferred
• Ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Right to be self employed in the UK

• Location: Kensington area (in-person)
• Day(s) and Time(s): Mondays 10:40am - 12:40pm and 2:00pm - 4:00pm; Tuesdays 11:20am - 1:20pm and 2:00pm - 4:00pm; Fridays 8:30am - 9:40am and 2:00pm - 4:00pm
• Subject and Level: A Level Computer Science
• Start date: As soon as possible
• Contract length: Until December 2025
• Rate of pay: £32.50 per hour
