Job summary

A technology solutions provider is seeking an experienced Mac Engineer to support the deployment and management of Apple devices in a hybrid working environment. Responsibilities include providing technical support, managing Mobile Device Management solutions, and troubleshooting complex issues. The ideal candidate will have experience in scripting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate within large organizational settings. This is a contract role with a minimum duration of 3 months.

Job description

We require an experienced Mac Engineerto join a Next Generation Devices Programme. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic and fast-paced enterprise environment, supporting the delivery of cutting-edge Apple technologies to users across the business.

What you’ll do

• Support the deployment and management of Apple devices as part of the Next Generation Devices Programme
• Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for macOS users across the global organisation
• Manage and maintain Apple-specific Mobile Device Management (MDM)solutions
• Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools using shell scriptingand macOS command line (Terminal)
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a large-scale, multi-site environment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve device performance, user experience, and operational efficiency
• Contribute to ongoing process improvements and documentation

What to bring

• Solid hands-on experience supporting and engineering macOSin enterprise environments
• Proven experience managing Apple MDMsolutions (e.g. Jamf, Kandji, Intune, or similar)
• Strong preference for Kandji experience
• Strong familiarity with Terminal, command-line tools, and shell scripting
• Background in 2nd/3rd line technical supportfor macOS environments
• Demonstrated ability to operate in large and complex organisational settings
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely
• A proactive, can-do attitude, with a genuine curiosity for learning new technologies and improving systems
• Experience in automation or scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash, or Zsh)
• Knowledge of enterprise integration between macOS and corporate systems (e.g. Active Directory, networking, security)
• Exposure to Windows or cross-platform support environments
