BarnsleyHospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated Operational SupportManager to join our Medicine Division. Working 37.5 hours per week, you willprovide operational and administrative leadership for both our Cardiology andRespiratory services.

Youwill be instrumental in supporting patient flow, performance targets, workforceplanning, and the delivery of highquality outcomes.

Main duties of the job

Thiskey Band 6 role will support the day-to-day operational management and servicedelivery within Cardiology and Respiratory Services, ensuring safe, effective,and efficient patient care. You will work closely with clinical and operationalteams to maintain service performance, support quality improvement initiatives,and contribute to the strategic development of these vital specialties.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Provide operational leadershipand support across Cardiology and Respiratory services.
  • Work collaboratively withclinical leads, nursing teams, and administrative staff.
  • Support service planning,capacity and demand management, and delivery of performance targets.
  • Lead on day-to-dayproblem-solving and escalation of service pressures.
  • Contribute to theimplementation of quality and safety improvement programmes.
  • Support workforce planning andstaff engagement within the services.
