A reputable automotive training provider in Greater London is seeking apprentices to join their advanced vehicle technician apprenticeship program. This 32-month program combines workplace training with scheduled college blocks, providing comprehensive support and hands-on experience with Volvo's latest technology. Apprentices will gain essential qualifications and skills, working alongside experienced technicians while benefiting from full employer coverage of training costs and living expenses.
The first Volvo truck was born in 1928 and has grown to become the largest producer of heavy trucks in Europe. A network of over 85 fully equipped Volvo Truck & Bus workshops throughout the UK and Ireland ensures customers can rely on certified technicians to keep Volvo trucks in optimal condition.
Training is delivered in the workplace and on block release at Remits dedicated Heavy Vehicle Academy in Derby. Remits Academy is dedicated to Volvo and our apprenticeship programme. The 32‑month programme consists of 18 blocks split between virtual classes and in‑Denmark days.
Accommodation, food and travel are met by the employer and there is no cost to you.
A dedicated Development Coach will give 1‑2‑1 support and guidance to help you achieve IMI qualifications. You will receive the following qualification:
Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Level 3
Functional Skills Level 2 in English & Math (if required)
Apprenticeship Standard Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician – Bus, Coach and HGV

Remit are proud to be partnered with Volvo Trucks to deliver their HGV Technician apprenticeships.
During your apprenticeship, you will be provided with full equipment including all the tools needed to become a technician. You will work with qualified and experienced technicians learning how to repair, service, MOT and maintain modern trucks, buses and coaches, including hybrid technology.
Expected apprenticeship duration: 32 months
Apprenticeship level: Advanced Level Apprenticeship
Training delivered in the workplace and on block release to Remits Automotive Academy in Derby. There are a total of 16 × 1 week blocks over the 32‑month programme. Costs of hotel accommodation, food and travel are met by the employer and there will be no cost to you.
You will also receive 1‑2‑1 support from your Development Coach to help you achieve: IMI Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Level 3
Working hours: 40 hours, Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
