Job Description: The Disaster Program Delivery Specialist:

Responsibilities
  • Collects, coordinates and/or reviews applicant data to determine eligibility and priority of assignments, including audits for completeness and reviews of Preliminary Damage Assessments (PDA).
  • Completes exploratory calls to gather information from applicants and understands each applicant’s projects and recovery priorities.
  • Supports the communication process with the applicant about their status by scheduling regular meetings, tracking and following up on FEMA’s requests, and coordinating document transmittals through FEMA’s Consolidated Resource Centers using a web-based tool.
  • Schedules site inspections with applicants and the Site Inspector Task Force Leader; identifies when technical expertise is needed during the program delivery process.
  • Supports the claims process by reviewing and validating damage details, scopes of work, and costs with the applicant; participates in regular FEMA meetings and may evaluate claims and make recommendations on eligibility.
  • Assists with the development of the Determination Memo and communicates final determinations to applicants during closeout; conducts exit briefings with applicants.
  • May coordinate and complete basic to moderately complex site inspections to validate and record damage for the Public Assistance grant delivery process.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent. Domestic travel is required.
    • 5 years of in-field experience (2 years of in-field experience with a bachelor’s degree).
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a FEMA Badge, including a background investigation for a Public Trust position.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and customer service skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and adaptability to change.

  • Work Location Options: In office and field locations as needed.

Pay & Benefits
  • Pay Range Minimum: $27.30
  • Pay Range Maximum: $48.30
  • Additional Compensation: All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply.
  • Background Check & Drug Testing: CDM Smith reserves the right to require background checks and drug testing as appropriate.

  • Driver's License Required: An appropriate and valid driver’s license is required.
  • Background information: CDM Smith may perform various background checks; employment contingent upon successful completion.
  • All vendors must have a signed placement agreement with CDM Smith Recruitment Center to receive payment.
