Within the Human Resources team and as a direct report of the Head of HR, the People Services Lead is responsible for building and supporting a differentiating employee experience through: bringing to life the employer brand and leveraging diverse communication channels, introducing solutions to advance quality, accessibility and speed of delivery of people processes, being the stewards of Global HR policies with an end-to-end view and full responsibility on Talent Acquisition, Training, Reporting, People Engagement & Continuous Listening, Employer Branding, Administration & Payroll in line with Local and Group standards and frameworks.
He/she closely collaborates with the HR Business Partners and the Center of Expertise, and he/she is responsible for the management of a team for accurate excellent operational processes for all ING Italy’s employees throughout their employee experience and lifecycle.
Key responsibilities (but not limited to):
Acting as a team leader and in his/her managerial position, he/she is responsible of:
- Developing innovative and sustainable operating models for HR key services such as Recruiting, Training, Occupational Health, Employee Experience, HR Administration, ensuring they deliver high quality services in support of organisational objectives and setting overall standards across the function.
- Leading in implementing, updating, reviewing any HR policies and/or processes related to employee lifecycle and experience, granting an effective support and operational excellence and acting as a collaborative and supporting partner with HR Business Partner and other Centre of Expertise within the HR team.
- With the cooperation of Talent Acquisition Expert as part of People Services team, developing and implementing recruiting strategies and processes as related to building the ING Bank organization across the various functional areas and playing a significant role in developing the Company image as a progressive employer, taking into consideration global standards and framework as well as ensuring compliance with local requirements.
- With the cooperation of Talent Acquisition Expert as part of People Services team putting in motion a set of actions to ensure a successful recruiting application in the local marketplace, also establishing an effective monitoring system and identifying and periodically analyzing KPIs and metrics.
- In close collaboration with Talent & Learning Lead, ensuring with the cooperation of Training Expert as part of People Services team an effective support to the implementation and monitoring of learning and training processes according to areas’ identified needs.
- With the cooperation of People Engagement & Employer Branding Expert as part of People Services team, ensuring that ING Employee Listening strategy is effectively executed to drive and evolve significant and continual improvement in our employee engagement and – using employee engagement insights – developing a strong Employer Branding plan to achieve and maintain the status of best Employer of Choice.
- With the cooperation of People Engagement & Employer Branding Expert as part of People Services team, developing and implementation the annual Vitality & Well-being plan and building effective HR processes throughout all the employee lifecycle.
- With the cooperation of People Services Manager as part of People Services team, overseeing and ensuring proper management of all operational activities within HR Administration department, related to the employee’s lifecycle, starting from the hiring process, moving through the ordinary monthly activities (this includes, but it is not limited to, HR Cost Controlling, Expatriate Management, HR Analytics, HR day-by-day operations, and payroll processes) according to Italian law and practices.
- Leading, motivating, and developing People Services team members, delegating as appropriate.
- Managing delegated budgets effectively.
Moreover, he/she will act as Country Lead for the Workday implementation project, being responsible for the successful deployment and rollout of the full Workday system into ING Italy (in replacement of the current IHRM system and thus the eventual decommission of said system).
Expertise /Background:
- Educational qualification: Master’s degree, from a top-tier university, in HR management, Law, Economics or equivalent.
- At least 10+ years of work experience in similar HR roles in complex and matrix organization, preferably working in an international context.
- Wide and strong knowledge of core HR processes with a dedicated focus on Training, Learning, Recruiting and strong functional understanding of key areas across the HR department.
- Knowledge of Italian Labour law and practices.
- Background in managing employer branding and continuous listening topics.
- Experience of at least 3+ years in a managerial role.
- Previous experience with project management as a plus.
- Experience working with Workday is a strong preferred condition.
