Young Person Quantity Surveying, Work Experience Placement -Derby, 9th-12th February 2026

Date – Monday 9th – Thursday 12th February 2026 (4-days)

Who it's for: Young individuals between 14 and 18 years old, who are interest in work experience

What’s This All About?

Interested in how big projects stay on budget and on track? In this placement, you’ll explore the world of quantity surveying, where engineering meets finance. You’ll learn how we plan costs, manage budgets, and make sure projects deliver value for money. You may get involved in reviewing designs, attending meetings with contractors, and understanding how decisions affect both cost and construction. This is a fantastic opportunity to see how quantity surveyors keep projects running smoothly and discover a career that combines technical knowledge with problem-solving and commercial awareness.
