Organisation role · 1—2 hrs/Week · Starting from 15 Jan 2026

We are looking for a Storytime volunteer to help us with a story time for children and their carers at Swaffham Library. Sessions run on Thursdays, 11.00-12.00

Detailed description

You will be asked to deliver a regular story time session to encourage parents and their baibies to come along to a story session for under 2's.

This will involve:

  • Choosing stories and preparing for the story session in advance
  • Setting up the session and clear away at the end
  • Reading stories to babies who are visiting the library with their carers
  • Helping with a follow on session for mum's to have a chat and for the babies to play with some toys

You will need:

  • To have a good rapport with the babies and mums attending
  • To enjoy working with young babies
