Job summary

Bealings School are looking for an organised, motivated, and caring Wraparound Care Assistant to assist in the day‑to‑day running of the school’s wraparound care provision, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and enjoyable environment for children before and after the school day.

Your Responsibilities
  • Welcome and supervise children attending before- and after-school sessions.
  • Support the delivery of engaging activities (arts, crafts, games, outdoor play, etc.) suitable for different ages and interests.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction in line with the school’s values and policies.
  • Help prepare and serve healthy snacks and drinks.
  • Ensure the wraparound care area is safe, tidy, and well‑organised.
  • Assist with set‑up and clearing away of resources and equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff to support children’s wellbeing and enjoyment.
  • Maintain appropriate records and follow safeguarding procedures at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Administer first aid as necessary and report accidents according to school procedures.
What You Will Need

Essential:

  • Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting.
  • A warm, caring, and patient manner with children.
  • An enthusiastic and proactive attitude.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.Awareness of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

Desirable:

  • First Aid qualification (or willingness to undertake training).
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
