We are seeking a Research Assistant or Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the Cancer Early Diagnosis Unit where they will undertake research focussed on improving our understanding of cancer risk and developing novel models and tools to improve cancer early detection. The successful candidate will contribute to Cancer Research UK and NIHR funded projects, including studies using large healthcare datasets, such as CPRD, to improve prostate, lung and upper gastrointestinal cancer detection. In addition to leading their own project, they will support more junior researchers in the preparation and analysis of data. The Research Associate will be supported by a multidisciplinary internationally renowned team with diverse expertise including in health data science, epidemiology, risk prediction, AI and clinical practice. They will be supported to develop their career and build their own grant or fellowship applications.
