North Tyneside Council is bringing weed control operations back in-house. We are looking for skilled Operatives to join a newly formed team to keep public spaces and highway infrastructure neat, safe, and attractive for the community.

Responsibilities
  • Apply herbicides safely and efficiently across the borough’s urban and rural areas using high-capacity vehicle-mounted spray rigs and precision hand‑delivery systems.
  • Maintain accurate work records and perform daily safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with the Team Leader to ensure proactive, intelligence‑led service delivery and stock management.

Hours and Term
