Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and flexible volunteer with working knowledge of websites and newsletters to maintain and improve our club's website, adding more content and functionalities to support our club's operations.

You will help us drive awareness, interest and participation of handball within our local community and at national level. You will utilize cost‑effective resources to maximise our club’s effectiveness in socially reaching, attracting, engaging and retaining new audiences, including physically inactive groups.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Updating website information, game schedules and scores, league tables and homepage highlights.
  • Managing/Overseeing livestream pages.
  • Determining website needs.
  • Creating website layouts to organise information for intuitive usage.
  • Developing the website by designing pages, widgets, and incorporating graphics and video elements.
  • Determining the best plug‑ins and applications to provide new features and functionality.
  • Testing the website using a variety of browsers and debugging as necessary.
  • Determining necessary updates or repairs.
  • Assisting club leads with publishing content by proof‑reading, editing, and posting text and graphics.
  • Maintaining the website by checking for errors, broken links, and hacking attempts.
  • Maintaining the website to meet accessibility standards, security and legal requirements.
  • Developing a portfolio of suppliers/partners.
  • Developing newsletters to promote our club's activities and engage members and supporters.
