Position within Maximus, a global organization delivering health and employment services across the UK. Location: Bootle, England.

Overview

Registered Physiotherapist needed for hybrid role assessing work capability for the Department for Work and Pensions. Full‑time 09:00 – 17:00, Monday‑Friday.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct telephone, video or face‑to‑face assessments to understand how a person’s disability or health condition affects their daily life.
  • Produce Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to determine eligibility for benefits.
  • Develop clinical knowledge and assessment skills with regular feedback and supervision.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Valid HCPC registration number.
  • At least 1 year of broad post‑registration experience within or outside the NHS.
  • Right to work in the UK – sponsorship not offered.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports.
