Job summary

A leading water hygiene company in Scotland is looking for a Water Hygiene Technician to ensure safe and compliant water systems across customer sites. You'll conduct inspections, manage a workload using SimPRO, and perform significant monitoring tasks. Ideal candidates will have a full, clean UK driving licence and Legionella Awareness Training. Qualifications

  • City & Guilds Legionella Awareness Training, equivalent or suitable industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer sites to ensure water systems are safe and compliant.
  • Inspect and clean water storage vessels and lead tank chlorinations.
  • Conduct routine monitoring tasks in line with HSG 274 Part 2.
  • Spot problems and proactively find solutions, applying HSE’s ACoP L8.

What you'll be doing
  • Travel to customer sites to ensure water systems are safe and compliant across the region.
  • Inspect and clean water storage vessels, including leading on tank chlorinations.
  • Install and service Thermostatic Mixing Valves.
  • Conduct routine monitoring tasks in line with HSG 274 Part 2 – flushing water outlets, monitoring temperatures, descaling showerheads, flushing pressure vessels, and performing crucial sampling for closed water systems.
  • Use our SimPRO system to manage your workload.
  • Spot problems and proactively find solutions, applying HSE’s ACoP L8 and HSG274 knowledge.
Qualifications
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
  • City & Guilds Legionella Awareness Training, equivalent or suitable industry experience.
