Job Description

As a Section Manager you’ll support the running of the evening shift, working closely with other Managers and Supervisors to lead the team(s). Your focus will be on performance and talent management for all team members, supporting personal development plans alongside coaching and upskilling to deliver for our operation and our valued customers.

You’ll also work with key stakeholders including Strategic Planning, Core Operations, Automation, Flow Room, and ICQA, and other functions such as IT, H&S, HR Business Partner/People team and Agency Supplier Partners to ensure daily targets are met. You’ll own the Lux agenda with the Lux team and take responsibility for delivering OKRs.

Responsibilities
  • Direct line management and coaching of Supervisors, driving performance through teams and conducting 1:1s on performance vs expectation, agreeing SMART goals, and creating a supportive culture.
  • Drive performance on key metrics and deliver to plan, ensuring an efficient warehouse operation that fulfils customer web and store demand on time and in full.
  • Monitor delivery to plan and key areas for your shift.
  • Hold monthly inbound/outbound performance forums.
  • Maintain the highest standards of safety on site, working with the Safety team to ensure adherence to all safety routines and procedures.
  • Review the weekly labour plan, ensure cover is adequate, flag any issues or feedback, and sign off with submission to Shift / Warehouse Manager.
  • Provide details to Shift / Warehouse Manager when daily/weekly targets are not met and create a plan to bridge the gap.
Qualifications
  • Direct line management and coaching experience with supervisors.
  • Strong performance management skills, comfort with data‑driven decision making.
  • Experience delivering against key metrics and full stock visibility.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and a proven safety record.
  • Ability to analyse labour planning and staffing.
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.

Recruitment Process
