A global sugar refining company is seeking a Warehouse Operator for its Thames Refinery. The role entails accurately receiving, storing, and managing inventory while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Key skills include numerical and English literacy, computer proficiency (particularly in SAP), and a Forklift Truck Licence. Across North America, ASR Group® operates six sugar refineries in New York, California, Maryland, Louisiana, Canada and Mexico. In Europe, we operate refineries in the United Kingdom, Portugal and, through a joint venture, Italy. We also farm sugarcane and own sugar mills in Mexico and Belize.

We are currently seeking a Warehouse Operator to join our team at the Thames Refinery. This role is responsible for the accurate receiving, checking, storage and movement of goods and materials from vendors, ensuring inventory accuracy and compliance with safety, quality and hygiene standards.
Maintain the highest standards of Safety, Quality, Hygiene and Environmental compliance
Receive, inspect and correctly store goods and materials (MRO & materials) delivered by vendors
Accurately process goods receipts, goods issues and stock transfers using SAP
Carry out physical inventory counts and stocktakes, investigating and reporting discrepancies
Ensure timely and efficient receiving and dispatch of goods to maintain inventory accuracy
Optimise weekly delivery schedules in collaboration with the Materials Management team
Ensure all required documentation is received and completed (e.g. delivery notes, CofA, certificates of conformance)
Liaise with Packing Area Managers and the Quality team to ensure correct storage, product control and swift resolution of quality issues
Ensure full traceability of inbound materials in line with specifications
Support internal and external audits and site visits
Good numerical and English literacy skills
Strong computer literacy, with the ability to handle data quickly and accurately
Experience with SAP, Windows and Microsoft Office is beneficial
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work unsupervised, prioritise workload and multitask effectively
Proven teamwork skills and flexibility
Forklift Truck Licence (essential)
