Overview

Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary, 5 days per week

Working Hours: 7am til' 6pm, with 1-hours lunch break, 5 days per week. (Overtime available)

Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour

HRGO are seeking an experience and hardworking Line Leader to join a brilliant team in Chartham, running the fruit packing line as smoothly as possible, while following compliance and Health & Safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar position, within a food focused environment.

Responsibilities
  • Organising and managing the processing and dispatching of orders of packed fruit, ensuring the proper preparation and smooth running of the line.
  • Supervising a team, supporting where necessary, and ensuring all hygiene and health and safety standards are adhered to.
  • Checking that goods in the wet area are the correct variety, grower and job number.
  • Collecting packaging and labels from the store, making sure these are checked by the QC.
  • Completion of paperwork, ordering additional goods and packing in a timely manner, in the event of a job increase.
  • Updating the status of the job, ensuring all information is provided.
  • Reporting to the pack house manager once all orders are complete.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a similar position is essential, and experience in the fruit packing sector is highly beneficial.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in leading and training others.
  • A positive and hardworking attitude, and a willingness to see the work through to completion, being hands on a lot of the time.
  • The ability to work well under pressure, to tight deadlines, and take initiative.
  • A good understanding of safe and hygienic working practices.
