A local healthcare provider in Weston-super-Mare is seeking a Ward Receptionist to provide a welcoming experience for patients and visitors. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of the In-Patient Unit, handling phone calls, directing visitors, and supporting nursing staff. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask are essential for this position.
The Ward Receptionist is often the first person patients and visitors meet or speak to. The welcome, consideration, respect and guidance that the receptionist offers can help ease some of the anxiety and worry people can feel when coming into the Hospice, especially for the first time.
This role is integral to the smooth operation of the In-Patient Unit and your duties would include answering the phone, welcoming and directing visitors, alerting nursing staff upon their arrival, taking messages and redirecting calls, greeting visitors in a calm manner and arranging refreshments if requested.
