Seagate’s Springtown facility in Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland is among the most advanced in the world in the design, development, and volume manufacturing of recording heads.

About the role - you will:

Join our dynamic Process Engineering team at Seagate’s Springtown wafer manufacturing facility. We are seeking Process Engineers to support advanced technology development and high-volume manufacturing for next-generation recording heads, including HAMR (Heat-Assisted Magnetic Recording) technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, optimize, and sustain processes in one or more of the following areas
  • Photolithography
  • Vacuum Deposition & Etch
  • Electroplating
  • Chemical Mechanical Polishing (CMP)
  • Metrology & Inspection
  • Implement process control and optimization strategies to ensure stability and yield improvement
  • Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, SPC, and root cause investigations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technology transfer and process integration
  • Support qualification of new tools and recipes for emerging technologies and HAMR volume production
Qualifications and experience
  • Recent Graduates in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related fields are encouraged to apply

  • Strong background in process control, optimization, and statistical analysis
