Job description

Vocational Coach – Delivering Stewarding, Retail, Hospitality short courses (3‑week) to learners across Manchester.

12‑month fixed‑term contract, full‑time, Monday to Friday. Start: 5 January 2026. Salary up to £31,333 (incl. car allowance). 34 days holiday (incl. bank holidays), increasing to 43 days after year five. Includes CPD, induction, IT kit, eye tests, wellbeing initiatives, progression opportunities, and more.

  • Manage and teach a caseload of learners, ensuring a high‑quality learning programme in terms of content, structure and learning outcomes.

What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in retail, hospitality and/or stewarding.
  • Up‑to‑date industry knowledge and previous teaching or vocational training experience.
  • Hold or be willing to work towards a relevant teaching qualification.
  • A genuine passion for developing others and sharing knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and deliver high‑quality teaching/coaching.
  • Relevant occupational sector experience (vocational) and/or current updated CPD.
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in English, Maths and ICT or equivalent.
  • Experience of coaching to support learning.
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload.
Desirable
  • Coaching or assessor qualifications (TAQA, CAVA, A1, D32/33).
  • Knowledge of government‑funded training and apprenticeship standards.
