About the Role

Support the day-to-day running of the Prehistory Centre by welcoming visitors, sharing insights about our collection, and ensuring our visitors are engaged. As a Visitor Experience Volunteer, you'll play a vital role in bringing history to life for our guests.

Location: Indoor

Time of day: Full Working Week, Weekday Mornings, Weekday Afternoons, Weekend Full Days, Weekend Half Days

Practical Considerations: Remote site; a volunteer would need access to a vehicle or mode of transport.

Requirements: Will require a criminal record check (DBS), own vehicle or access to a vehicle.

Additional Requirements: References needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome and engage with visitors to create a memorable experience
• Provide information about the Prehistory Centre’s collection, layout, and educational purpose
• Maintain a tidy, accessible, and welcoming environment within the Centre
• Assist with events and activities hosted within the Prehistory Centre
• Support other duties in line with day-to-day visitor operations
