Job description
About the company

Emma is the app to manage all things money.

Our mission is to empower millions of people to live a better and more fulfilling financial life.

Emma was founded by engineers, who are extremely focused on coding, product and data. These are the three pillars on which we want to build a strong tech culture and fix personal finance once for all.

We have raised more than $8m+ to date to build the one stop shop for all your financial life. Our investors include Connect Ventures (investor in Curve, TrueLayer and CityMapper), Kima Ventures, one of the first in Transferwise, and Aglaé Ventures, early stage fund of the Groupe Arnault, investor in Netflix and Airbnb.

Alongside them, several angel investors, who have built and sold industry leading companies have decided to take part into this journey.

At Emma, we are:

  • Bold
  • Determined
  • Focused
  • Autonomous

We are a high-performance team and we run the company like a professional sports team. We expect each and every team member to move fast, have ownership over their work and hold each other to a high standard.

If you're not driven to own your work, execute swiftly, and innovate constantly, this isn't the right place for you.

About the role

What you'll be working on:

  • Owning the creation of video content across our marketing channels — from concept to final cut
  • Producing short-form and long-form videos for product launches, social media, events, and paid campaigns
  • Working closely with the growth and product teams to storyboard and script compelling narratives
  • Capturing footage in studio or on location, with an eye for lighting, composition, and audio quality
  • Editing video and motion graphics that align with Emma’s brand identity
  • Organising shoots, sourcing talent, and managing equipment and production timelines
  • Building a consistent visual tone across our video content to strengthen Emma’s brand and storytelling

Who we're looking for:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in videography, content production, or motion design — ideally within a startup or fast-moving environment
  • Strong portfolio of video work spanning social content, product explainers, or brand storytelling
  • Skilled in editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, After Effects, or similar) and motion graphics tools
  • A storyteller at heart — able to translate complex ideas into engaging, human-centred video
  • Comfortable working end-to-end: shooting, lighting, editing, and delivering polished content
  • Highly organised with a strong sense of ownership and a keen eye for detail
  • Passionate about fintech, visual culture, and helping people take control of their money
  • Collaborative, driven, and ready to build the future of finance with us

Our process:

  • Phone call with internal recruiter
  • Take-home test
  • 2nd call with a member of the marketing team
  • Onsite interview with CEO

Our benefits:

  • Paid Sick Leave
  • Private Medical Insurance and Perks with Vitality
  • Pension Contribution
  • Referral Scheme
  • Emma Ultimate Subscription
  • MacBook
  • Annual Salary Review
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • One-month sabbatical every 5 years
  • Regular Socials
