The Vice Provost position oversees all aspects of the undergraduate co-curricular educational program and is responsible for the University’s student experience strategy. This position directs and motivates the professional and support staff of the Division of Student Success and Engagement. Specifically, the Vice Provost provides leadership to programs that connect the Curricular and Co-Cocurricular (Student Success, First Year Experience/ Student Leadership, Agape Center, Career Professional Development Center, NEXT Steps Program) and areas of Student Engagement, Care & Support (Campus Ministries, the Engle Center for Counseling & Health, the Office of the Student Engagement, the Office of Residence Life & Housing and Student Conduct.)
Master’s Degree.
Doctorate preferred.
3-8 years of progressively responsible experience in higher education with a focus on student success and engagement.
This position requires significant experience across a broad spectrum of student development and engagement programming. Responsibilities require comprehensive understanding of the spiritual, educational, and social development of students as well as the ability to model a vibrant and mature Christian faith. This position embraces Messiah’s distinctive Community of Educators model and works with the Provost to support and articulate the University’s mission and vision for Christian higher education.
Substantial evening and weekend commitments.
