University Intern – Animal Health Commercial Business (2 opportunities)

These are 12‑month paid internships starting September 2026. The roles are head‑office based, requiring a minimum of 2 days a week to be worked from our office in Winnersh. Salary: £26,000 per annum. Closing date: 16th November 2025.

POSITIONS, TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Commercial Excellence (1 x position)
    • Drive innovation and deliver insights that power smarter business decisions across three teams on a four‑month rotation each (total 12 months). Offers exposure to Data & Platforms, SFE & Digital, and Pricing.
    • Data & Platforms
      • Translate business requirements into practical data solutions and insights.
      • Develop dashboards and reports, manage data quality, support system migrations, and maintain tools such as Veeva.
      • Build data literacy across the business and develop technical expertise in data management and platform configuration.
    • SFE & Digital
      • Support Digital Excellence Manager with global vet portal support and multi‑species campaign management.
      • SEO review of websites, monitor digital and omnichannel KPIs, and facilitate Salesforce effectiveness training initiatives.
      • Assist with sales incentive plan design, implementation, and review, and support ongoing commercial excellence initiatives.
    • Pricing
      • Assist with modelling various pricing scenarios related to customers and products.
      • Maintain price lists while adhering to local governance requirements.
  • Business Process & Analysis (1 x position)
    • Support across two departments on a six‑month rotation each (total 12 months) within Animal Health Commercial Business—Forecasting, Business Analysis, and Regulatory Affairs/Pharmacovigilance.
    • Forecasting & Business Analysis
      • Support implementation of forecasting & business analytics processes in line with strategies to enhance capabilities and accuracy.
    • Regulatory Affairs
      • Assist with maintenance of veterinary medicinal product licences, life‑cycle management, and adverse event processing.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Studying for a Business, Digital Technology, Stats or related degree.
  • 3 A levels at grade ABB (minimum).
  • Independent travel to work and other sites.
  • Right to work in the UK.
KEY COMPETENCIES
  • Strong verbal communication skills, ability to express opinions clearly and simply.
  • Strong written communication skills, clear and concise writing with appropriate structure.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office; adaptable to Boehringer's local systems.
  • Ability to plan activities, manage time, order resources, and monitor performance.

Responsibilities
  • Mark accurately and consistently to ensure overall standards are maintained.
  • Submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times.
  • Ensure milestones for marking are adhered to.
  • Complete all administration as specified.
Experience/Qualifications needed
  • Minimum of one year full‑time teaching experience in the relevant subject.
  • Degree or equivalent.
  • Qualified teacher.

Overview of the role

Moderators are responsible for moderating centres’ assessment of candidates’ work in accordance with the agreed assessment criteria and the awarding organisation’s procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend standardisation meetings; mandatory to participate before moderating any candidate work.
  • Moderate centres’ assessment of candidates’ work following agreed criteria.
  • Send any centre requests for special consideration to Pearson and other relevant documentation.
  • Maintain regular contact with Team Leader; raise issues as they arise.
  • Submit all moderator marks and E9 reports on time; meet required quality standards.
  • Keep all records relating to your moderator role for one year after the examination series.
Experience / Qualifications needed
  • One academic year’s worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years, in the relevant subject, since qualifying as a teacher.
  • Degree or equivalent.
  • Qualified teacher.
