Job description

Are you a passionate and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse looking to join a genuinely supportive and friendly team? This could be the perfect opportunity for you!

About the Role

This full-time position offers a fantastic variety of duties across nursing consults, theatre, prep, inpatient care, and reception, giving you the chance to make full use of your nursing skills every day. The team is happy to consider either a 5-day week (40 hours) or a 4-day week (38 hours) — whichever best suits your lifestyle.

  • Shifts: 8am–5pm, 8:30am–5:30pm, 9am–6pm, or 10am–7pm

  • Weekends: 1 in 4 Saturdays (8:30am–5:30pm)

  • No OOH or emergency work

  • 1-hour lunch break every day

The practice understands the importance of work-life balance and offers flexible working options to help you enjoy your time both in and out of work.

About the Practice

This independent, progressive 100% small animal practice in the heart of Staffordshire, combines exceptional clinical standards with a warm, family feel. The team of 4 vets, 6 RVNs, and 1 SVN work closely together to deliver gold-standard patient and client care — all in a truly unique setting: a converted pub, complete with original stained glass windows in the operating theatre!

The practice is proud to be a place where laughter and teamwork go hand in hand. The team supports each other through the highs and lows of veterinary life, with regular games nights and practice dogs who come to work four days a week for extra cuddles and walk breaks.

Whether you’re looking for peaceful countryside walks or easy access to city life, the location offers the best of both worlds. Cannock Chase is right on the doorstep for outdoor adventures, while Birmingham and Manchester are under an hour away for shopping, nightlife, and entertainment.

What’s on Offer
  • Competitive salary from £26,000, depending on experience

  • CPD encouraged and fully funded

  • No OOH or bank holidays

  • Supportive, close-knit team environment

  • Practice dogs and team social events

  • Beautiful rural surroundings with great transport links

If you’re an enthusiastic RVN who thrives in a positive, community-minded environment — where your ideas are valued and your wellbeing matters — this could be your perfect next step.
