Vehicle Sales Consultant – South Canterbury Toyota

What the role involves

You’ll be working closely with customers, helping them navigate their options and guiding them towards the vehicle that best fits their lifestyle. Day to day, you’ll be:

  • Welcoming customers and creating a positive, genuine buying experience;
  • Understanding customer needs and matching them with the right Toyota model;
  • Supporting customers through test drives, trade‑ins, and the full purchase process;
  • Working closely with our Business Manager on finance and insurance options;
  • Following up with leads, and building long‑term customer relationships;
  • Staying up‑to‑date with new Toyota models, features, and product knowledge;
  • Contributing to the overall presentation and vibe of the showroom;
What we’re looking for
  • A people person — someone who’s confident, approachable, and enjoys helping others;
  • Proven sales experience, especially vehicle sales is a bonus, but not essential — attitude is everything;
  • A driven personality, willing to make cold calls and go out on the road;
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly;
  • Motivation to achieve goals, plan, prepare, and take ownership of your performance;
  • Comfortable using technology, CRM systems, and learning new tools;
  • A team player who’s keen to be part of a growing, supportive environment;
