Are you passionate about improving operational efficiencies and cost effectiveness? We’re seeking a highly motivated experienced Leader to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across our Llantrisant manufacturing operations. This role will lead cross‑functional teams to optimize end‑to‑end value streams, eliminate waste, and enhance customer value delivery while maintaining our high standards for quality and regulatory compliance in life sciences manufacturing. All whilst driving a positive continuous improvement culture.

Key Responsibilities
Value Stream Management
  • Lead the value stream from raw materials through to finished goods delivery.
  • Develop and implement value stream maps to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Drive lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators for operational excellence.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead cross‑functional teams including planning, procurement, and logistics whilst working collaboratively with quality, manufacturing and engineering.
  • Coach and develop team members in lean methodologies and problem‑solving techniques.
  • Develop the strategy to foster a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
  • Facilitate daily management routines and Gemba walks.
  • Part of the leadership team to drive key objectives to deliver the site growth plans.
Operational Excellence
  • Drive waste elimination and process optimisation initiatives.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (HSE & ISO standards).
  • Implement planning best practices to optimise production schedules and inventory levels.
Performance Management
  • Monitor & improve the safety, people, quality, delivery and cost metrics.
  • Develop and execute improvement projects to meet the business objectives.
  • Report out the KPI’s and improvement plans to corporate leadership.
  • Strong project management skill set.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience preferably in life sciences/diagnostics.
  • Proven experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma or similar improvement.
  • Work closely with cross‑functional teams to implement improvement plans.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and project management skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, and data analysis tools.
