Job Description

This position is with the Service Experience Design team within the larger family of the award‑winning Philips Design community. We shape end‑to‑end experiences across the customer lifecycle for our healthcare partners, seamlessly weaving the needs of both the front‑line staff and behind‑the‑scenes roles. We are a multi‑disciplinary design team combining UX, service design, user research, and usability to understand the big picture and create solutions that scale. Within our team, your role will be to design intuitive, empathetic, and visually compelling UI/UX for digital service applications and platforms by translating customer and employee needs into functional product experiences.

Your role spans the entire digital solution process—from conceptualization, through user testing, to collaborative design with development teams—ensuring delivery to our customers. Working as part of a cross‑functional team, you’ll focus on providing high‑quality experience with a strong emphasis on putting the customer first.

Your role:

  • Analyze and improve (digital) design solutions with a holistic approach for service ecosystems and its interdependencies, considering the customers and employees using them.

  • You will have experience understanding user needs and validating solutions, both at the interface level and across end‑to‑end service journeys to ensure effectiveness and overall user satisfaction.

  • Apply creative solutions and design acumen at a variety of solutions, demonstrating knowledge of the latest design tools and methods, including Figma, UX prototyping and AI creation tools.

  • Promote effective collaboration by fostering co‑creation approaches between design, business stakeholders, and service teams, ensuring the exchange of ideas and perspectives to drive innovative, implementable service solutions.

  • Work within complex project constraints, including budget and time limitations, ensuring our Filament design system quality and UX outcomes are achieved, while balancing of short‑term and long‑term objectives.

You're the right fit if you have:

  • A proven track record of UI and UX design during solution development, with clear impact and value on the programs you were involved in.

  • Ability to work in complex service ecosystems with various touchpoints, platforms and applications, preferably within the domain of health services.

  • Experience in Figma, AI creation tools, and working with a Design system.

  • Skilled in creating solutions from early discovery through conceptualization, prototyping, user testing, and definitions — supporting the development teams.

  • A good communicator, being able to explain the story and rationales of design decisions in a compelling and convincing way.

  • Committed to elevating design quality through constructive feedback, good communication skills, and design methodologies. Never accept the status quo!
