Overview

SO4 is on a mission to produce world-class Sulphate of Potash (SOP) and lead the way in sustainable mining. Our Lake Way asset, located in the Goldfields region of Western Australia, is just 15 kilometres south of Wiluna. Role Responsibilities
  • Lead & mentor field teams including Process Technicians, Ponds Supervisors, and Borefield Supervisors.
  • Manage pumping & pipeline infrastructure, ensuring efficient brine supply್ಞ and inventory control.
  • Oversee grade control programmes & harvesting activities to meet operational targets.
  • Develop and implement blending strategies for process plant quality requirements.
  • Implement cost‑effective strategies to optimise efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Act as the Quarry Manager & Operations Superintendent, ensuring statutory compliance.
  • Ensure a safety‑first culture, adherence to WHS regulations, and best operational practices.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical & electrical issues, leveraging your technical expertise.
What you will bring to the role
  • Experience: 10+ years in civil construction or mining operations, preferably in potash.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in high‑pressure environments while fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
  • Qualifications: WA Quarry Manager’s Certificate of Competency (mandatory); Trade background (highly regarded) or a Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Process).
  • Technical Expertise: Strong mechanical aptitude with a basic understanding of electrical systems; experience with HDPE pipe welding (beneficial but not essential); basic chemistry knowledge (advantageous but not required); expertise in safe lifting practices and mine rescue (highlyолі regarded).
  • Strong working knowledge of Office 365, Pronto, Aconex, and INX.
  • Hands‑on leadership approach with a focus on coaching and mentoring.
  • Well‑developed influencing, communication, and consultation skills.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex situations and make critical decisions under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • High level of emotional intelligence, with a professional and approachable demeanour.
  • Committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while upholding safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
